Google Business Profile appeal evidence checklist
Google makes the final decision on every appeal and edit, and no guide can promise reinstatement. PinRevive is not affiliated with Google. Bracketed letters link to Google's official help pages (list).
When you appeal a suspension, the appeals tool lets you add optional evidence to support an eligible appeal. [A] Here's the list Google gives, and how to organize the rest.
What Google says can strengthen an appeal
- Official business registration [A]
- A business license [A]
- Tax certificates [A]
- Utility bills for the business (electricity, phone, water, internet) [A]
Tip from Google: check that the business name and address on any document match the profile you're appealing. [A]
Practical extras (our suggestions)
These aren't on Google's list, but they help you present a clear, honest picture, and they map to things Google's guidelines care about [B]:
- Exterior signage photo with the exact business name and the street visible. Address-showing businesses should keep permanent fixed signage.
- Entrance, interior and staff photos showing a staffed, working location.
- Lease or deed matching the profile address.
- Branded vehicle and invoice samples for service-area businesses (redact customer details).
- Screenshots of the suspension details and the current profile.
- A dated change log of every edit.
- Real-world proof of the name, such as business cards or invoices, if it contains special characters or legal terms. [B]
Organize it like this
- One folder per evidence type, with clear file names (e.g.
utility-bill-2026-09.pdf). - Check name and address on each file against the profile.
- Write a short, factual explanation of what changed and why.
- Upload everything in one go. Appeals can only be submitted once. [A]
The paid PinRevive packet generates this checklist tailored to your answers (storefront vs service-area, what changed, prior appeals) and a printable change log.
